This Friday, September 20th our boys are taking on the Darien Blue Wave. As this being our home opener for the season, the Senators football team is ready more then ever.
When preparing for this week’s game talking to the boys was a must! We interviewed Coach PK. He said that the teams’ mindset is the same for each week, “It’s just putting together a good game plan, having good practices then going out on Friday and executing.” Which is exactly what they are going to do.
This entire week has shown nothing but hard work and effort on the field, waiting to be projected in the game. They’ve been training themselves, and each other building up to this moment so that they can be ready, set go!
When talking to the captain Jermel Bynum, he strongly feels the team is game ready. “This week’s game will be a good test. We play Darien who always has a good football team. They have a lot of good players but we do too and we have a lot of speed and athleticism so I think it’s gonna be a good game and a good test of character.” And that test is going to be passed on the field.
Last year the boys played Darian and came so close, just one touchdown away from victory. They had the win right within reach, and tomorrow it will be in their hands, right on the M!
The entirety of the team is excited to play tomorrow and put their best foot forward!
