On Friday, May 5, 2023 the junior class here at BMHS participated in one of the most iconic events in a person’s high school career. The junior prom was held at the Water’s Edge at Giovanni’s in Darien Connecticut. In this article I will give you a review of what was good about this prom, and what I think could be improved for the coming years.

There were a lot of positives that happened that night. I really liked the entrance into the lobby. I thought it was a very good decision for the teachers to meet the students at the door when they came in. I also really liked the design of the dance floor/dining room. It was very fancy. The DJ seems to have had some mixed opinions about him but I feel he did a solid job getting everybody in a great spirit at the dance floor. 

Although there were a lot of positives that occurred that night, I do believe there could be some improvements to be made. First off, I think the food was average at best. I think all of us were expecting a better meal. Another thing I believe could have been better was the seating placement. Many people were placed on the wrong tables which caused a lot of confusion. Some teachers who were at the prom helping out were not given seats. I believe that there could have been a better job done in terms of the seating. 

All in all the prom was a success. Everyone seemed to have a great time. It will be interesting to see what the prom’s next year will look like after this year.
