Bookshelf Banter: Column Introduction

Bookshelf Banter: Column Introduction

Welcome to Bookshelf Banter, a column where fellow Senators share their book interests and persuade you to read them! Here, we will guide you through the plot of unique stories, express our thoughts on each book, and provide theories for future series.

This is a place where we embrace multiple perspectives and encourage people to tell us about their own book favorites as many struggle to find the right group to rant to. This bookshelf aims to represent the diverse reader population of McMahon and hopefully attract new members to the book world!

Gaining a large book guide might be a slow start as many people see reading as boring or weird, but this is due to the fact that many are reading the wrong type of genre. There are so many different tropes, plotlines, and character arcs, that it can be hard for many to find the perfect reading fit for them. Through these book reviews, we will go through various genres of Fantasy, Fiction, Romance, Science Fiction, Non-fiction, and much more. We guarantee you will find a book you will find intriguing and learn something new for once!

Reading can reap so many benefits and teach you many lessons. Some books represent the growth of an identity or person while others show how trauma affects one over a lifetime. Either way, no matter what you read, you will learn something about yourself and be able to relate to it which is the main goal of an author.

With this said, if you are a fellow book lover and would like to write a review of your own or for us to read a book and write it for you, please email [email protected]. We look forward to spreading our love of books with our readers and eventually learning more about your interests too! Stay tuned for our first review!
