With the start of the new fall season and hype surrounding the soccer team, we were curious about the crowd and how the hype affected the performance of the team.
We went around interviewing the team on their personal opinions in respect to the manner and this is what we’ve learned.
We talked to some key players on the team and we asked them how they felt about the crowd at their game against Greenwich. All of them said that they expect a good crowd even though they would be on the road and they believe in the McMahon community.
Some of the Varsity team members said “I think as a team we are very confident, but for me, I think I’m the type of person to rise under pressure.” When we heard this, it reminded us that this is what we stand for, and we senators from Brien McMahon can overcome anything.
They also said that they were going to work as a team to try their best to overcome their opponents.
They talked about how team practice is all that they need, and they worked hard to perfect their performance on the field. A few other players mentioned this. “I think when playing one of the best teams in the state, we can’t let our guard down and must play at our best, which I know we can do.”
At Brien McMahon High School we believe that this is McMahon’s year for all sports not just soccer. But with these interviews we had with a few of our varsity players on the Brian McMahon soccer team it shows that we work together as a family and we won’t let other people judge us and look down at us.
As said by the players we expect only the best from the crowds and only the best performance possible from other teammates, without ever letting our guard down no matter the opponent.
