Normac Swim and Dive Senior Meet 2022

This Saturday was the NorMac Swim and dive senior meet against Trumbull and as sad as we were to see our seniors go, it was a great meet where you could really see everyone trying their hardest and cheering each teammate on. The meet theme was “last disco” where we decorated the pool deck in neon colors and had a last disco photo booth. The final score was 79-97 but great effort and attitude made the meet a great way to end the season, until FCIACS and states. Our lovely seniors from McMahon are:

Jaliyah Gonzales– Jaliyah is one of our 2 captains and is truly made for the leader role. She’s super supportive and I can always count on her to laugh at my jokes. Her best event is the 500 free and whoever actually enjoys swimming 20 laps will always be considered super cool to me.

Marian Sanchez– Marian has been swimming since she was in 6th grade and is super dedicated to the team. Her best events are the 100 free and 100 back. Marian never fails to make the team laugh with her interesting stories and always comes to practice with a motivated attitude. Since I joined the team she has always made me feel welcome.

Brenda Ames– Brenda joined the team during her sophomore year of high school and has been such a great addition to our team. She’s kind and caring, and always shows up to our meets to support her throughout all her injuries. I’ve truly never met someone who’s been to the athletic director as much as she’s been. Brenda’s best events are the 50 free and 100 free.
