The girls soccer team here at McMahon is full of players who understand that the team isn’t just about talent, wins, or losses. It’s about togetherness. While their season has just started, they are already eager to show off what they can do. The girls put in lots of hard work. Each of them brings something different to the team, but their hard work, commitment, and pride keep them strong and as one. No matter what challenges they face, it’s their bond that will drive them in a forward direction this season.
Coach Stockfish emphasizes the importance of building chemistry off the field just as much as on it. She noted, “They know they have each other’s backs on and off the field”. And that support is evident where the players have the space and time to support, encourage, and push through challenges and setbacks together.
The differences between the previous year and this one are clear. And they are already evident, as they just won against a team they lost to last season. With an undefeated title hanging across their chests, they take pride in bringing a successful season together.
Junior Veteran and captain Eleni Petredis shared, “The season is going great, we plan to stay undefeated”.
Players say the strength comes from the way everyone supports one another, no matter what, which goes with the fresh new personalities that were brought to the team.
Senior veteran and captain Tahlia Patrick noted, “ The season is going great, we celebrate each other’s success even when things get tough.”
With a promising season moving forward, the McMahon Girls Soccer Team are ready to leave their mark on not just the school but the entire FCIAC. Not just through goals scored, but through the strength of their bond and the commitment of each player. As they continue to grow and succeed, fans can expect to watch a team that plays with heart, determination, and teamwork through every achievement they reach.
