STORMAC took on Trumbull last Wednesday in a high-scoring affair, netting 7 goals. Harry Goodburn and Cooper Paul lit the lamp twice a piece, with Paul racking up an assist as well. The other goal scorers include Shane Power and Berkeley Johnson. Jakub Laskovsky had a three-point night with a goal and two helpers. The other three-point night came from Uzi Greenman, who notched a total of three assists. Going between the pipes, goaltender Mason Mountain held strong, with 19 saves, and kept Trumbull at bay towards the end of the game, allowing STORMAC to rack up 4 unanswered goals.
I got an interview with McMahon’s Berkeley Johnson, the game’s first goal scorer, right after the match.
So I’m here with:

Okay, thank you. How do you think you played tonight’s game?
I think our whole team came out flying first period. I came out with the first goal of the game. I think that really upped our motivation and really made a shift for our team and for myself.
How would you say your team handled going goal for goal in the beginning?
The other team came out flying. We went up one, they went up one, and we were just tied to four-four in the second period. And that the third period, we really came out flying. Everyone really came together, and we were able to click and get three goals on top of the four.
What are some of your takeaways from the game for next time?
Our next game, we have a pretty tough opponent. We’re playing another D2 team, West Hills Stanford. They’re a pretty good team, and it’ll be probably our biggest competition yet.
How do you think you’re going to take them on?
I think we’ll be prepared. We have been practicing every day. We’ll write up a few game plans, and I think we’ll be ready. We’ll be fired up.
Any final thoughts or notes?
I think going down o-in-two (0-2) in our record and, we were able to come out with three straight wins. I think it’s used for our team and huge for the season, and there’s more to come.
Thank you.
Thank you.
