NBA Finals Preview

NBA Finals Preview

As the NBA finals start on Thursday, June 1st, a very interesting finals match-up is upon us. The Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat round out probably the most unexpected finals matchup in recent memory. The storylines in this series are unrelenting.

The eighth-seeded Heat are just the second No. 8 seed in NBA history to appear in the Finals. The Denver Nuggets, who are appearing in the Finals for the first time, completed a sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers and will have home-court advantage against the Heat. The Heat defeated the Boston Celtics in 7 games to get them into the NBA finals.

The 2023 NBA Finals contains many of the NBA’s best players. The 2 time MVP in Nikola Jokic and the Eastern Conference Finals MVP in Jimmy Butler are definitely the two superstars on their respective teams. But there are also other great players on both teams. Some notable players on the Nuggets are Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr, Bruce Brown and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. The Miami Heat’s notable players are Bam Adebayo, Duncan Robinson, Max Strus, Caleb Martin, Kyle Lowry, Gabe Vincent and Kevin Love. Both teams have a superstar, but also have great role players to go along with it.

The 2023 NBA finals I believe will be a great one. Even though the Nuggets are heavily favored, I believe the Heat will make it close. The Heat are a complete team and a team that does not give up. I have all of the respect for what the Heat have done. But I believe the Nuggets are the better team and will win the finals in 6 games.
